Music: King Of The Road
Artist: Roger Miller

Roger Miller’s 1964 song “King of the Road” will always remind me of my Dad, Howard.

Our family lived in Canada and had a nomadic life. When I was little my Dad was a travelling salesman selling encyclopaedias, vacuum cleaners and even knitting machines.

He loved music and played a little guitar by ear with his ‘Country Pals’.  This song was a favourite of his. My Dad was our family’s King of the Road.

I hope you play it loud and snap your fingers to the music.
— Cindy

It’s not played much any more, so it makes me happy to introduce people to my Dad’s classic traveling song.

I hope you play it loud and snap your fingers to the music.
